6 Days Momela gate itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania
· Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)
· Private transfer to your luxury lodge in Arusha
· Trek briefing and equipment check with your guide
· Relax and prepare for your trek
Overnight at Arusha Coffee Lodge

Day 2: Trek Day 1 – Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut
· Drive to Arusha National Park’s Momella Gate (1,500 m)
· Begin your trek accompanied by an armed ranger (due to wildlife)
· Enjoy scenic hiking through savannah and rainforest
· Wildlife may include giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and monkeys
· Reach Miriakamba Hut (2,514 m)
Trekking Time: 4–6 hours
· Dinner prepared by your private mountain chef
· Overnight at Miriakamba Hut
Day 3: Trek Day 2 – Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut
· Ascend slowly through montane forest and into open heathland
· Short acclimatization hike in the afternoon to Little Meru (3,820 m)
· Reach Saddle Hut (3,570 m) beneath Mt. Meru’s crater wall
Trekking Time: 3–5 hours + 1-hour optional hike
· Dinner and rest in preparation for summit push
· Overnight at Saddle Hut
Day 4: Trek Day 3 – Summit Day! Mt. Meru (4,566 m) & Return to Miriakamba
· Early midnight departure for summit push
· Steep trail past Rhinoceros Point and Cobra Point
· Reach Socialist Peak (4,566 m) at sunrise
· Breathtaking views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Ash Cone, and the Great Rift Valley
· Descend to Miriakamba Hut for overnight rest
Trekking Time: 10–12 hours
· Overnight at Miriakamba Hut
Day 5: Trek Day 4 – Return to Arusha & Celebrate
· Final descent through rich forest back to Momella Gate
· Receive your Official Mt. Meru Summit Certificate
· Drive back to Arusha
· Overnight at Arusha Coffee Lodge – relax, spa optional
Trekking Time: 2–3 hours
Day 6: Departure – Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport
· Leisure breakfast at the lodge
· Optional short plantation tour or coffee tasting
· Private transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for departure
